With easy access to the Dennis Village, the Cape Cod Playhouse, the Cape Cinema and several local restaurants, there are plenty of attractions to keep you busy if you need a day away from the beach.

We had a wonderful stay -- Ron, the host, was very responsive and actually was at the house when we checked in. He was friendly and accessible by text throughout our stay, alerting us to a (brief) neighborhood-wide wifi outage and an expected thunderstorm. We are a family of 4 and found the house to be just the right size for us, but you could sleep more people on the beds upstairs (the ceilings are sloped, was fine for kids). The beach was SO close -- less than 5 minutes' walk, and we (the grownups) enjoyed the water views from the deck in the evening after the kids went to bed.

It's worth noting that the private beach is not accessible at the peak of high tide, but we didn't find this to be an issue, especially since it was so easy to get back to the house for lunch or to just take a break. If you do want to spend a full day on the sand, you can easily get to the public parking at Mayflower Beach just a few minutes away by car, or walk over if you have more time.
